I like historical fiction—all kinds but especially medieval and Arthurian. I enjoy high fantasy. As a former children’s librarian, I love classic children’s books and the many thoughtful teen reads, like A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness or Weasel by Cynthia DeFelice. I like quirky books—unusual stories about deep topics like The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating by Elisabeth Tova Bailey.
I am not a big mystery fan (to my mother’s chagrin) but I do like intrigue and spy stories. Finally–I love reading cookbooks and books about food. OK–my secret is out!
