I really wanted to like this story because I am a fan of Durst’s earlier work. I was frustrated after the first 50 pages but decided to give the book another 50 pages to redeem itself. I stopped at page 72. The narration was disjointed and the descriptions of events and emotions were slightly off the mark. There are better books out there….so I put this one down.
