The main character in this story, Essie, is a princess hiding on a frozen, mining planet. She earns money by cage fighting and “stitching” junk robots into working order. Essie’s treasured privacy and independence are threatened when she witnesses a spaceship crash and is forced to help the pilot survive. This book has several twists, lots of adventure and is a quick read.
