Hi Everyone,
Welcome back! We are happy and excited to see you again. Above all we want to keep everyone safe. The library has been cleaned and sanitized by professional cleaners and is ready to open. We have measures in place that we hope will promote good health. We know we can count on you to follow them.
Beginning Monday, July 6, we will be open Monday through Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-1pm and closed on Sundays. EDIT: As of August 3rd, we are open our regular hours.
If you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home.
We will be limiting the number of people in the building at any one time to 20 patrons. In order to accommodate more patrons, each person will be limited to ½ hour per visit.
Everyone who enters MUST wear a mask for the entire visit. If you don’t have one, we will provide you with one.
There are hand sanitizers at the entrance. We ask that you sanitize upon entry.
We will be maintaining the social distancing rule of 6ft between people at all times. We have applied tape to the floor to assist in this goal.
There can be no gathering or ‘hanging out’. To this end, there will be no open seating areas and the toys and computers in the children’s areas will not be available. Board books will not be circulated.
Adult computers and copiers will be available on a first come first served basis. Keep in mind each visit is limited to ½ hour.
Checking out will be different as well. To maintain social distancing and limit hands on contact, patrons will check out their own items at a table in front of the circ desk, using scanners. For this reason, it is important that you bring your library card with you. A library aide will be behind the desk to ensure the process goes smoothly.
Loan periods will be three weeks, with a two week renewal option, as usual. We anticipate the interlibrary loan system to be up and running on July 13th. The Reciprocal Borrowing Program is on hold until further notice.
To ensure safety through quarantining materials, returns will continue to be accepted only on weekends, in the outside drop boxes. Please do not bring them into the building.
Parking Lot Pick Up Service will continue for those who cannot wear masks or prefer not to come in. NOTE: For pick up, please use the small parking area on the left of the library, leaving the larger lot for those entering the building.
Please keep in mind our plans may change at any time if circumstances require it. We will continue to follow the directions of the CDC and the governor.
