    Regenerating Life Documentary Discussion

    Join local environmentalist, Jacquelyn Cressy, for a viewing and discussion of “Regenerating Life,” a powerful film that “takes an ecological approach to unpacking the social and environmental crises that confront us, shifting the prevailing climate change story, and offering new, attainable solutions.” This program will take place over three meetings: May 6, 13 and 20 at 1pm.Open to all, sign-up no longer required - just turn up on the day!

    At preschool storytime, we sing songs and do action rhymes, read up to four stories, and play percussion instruments. Storytime is 30 - 45 minutes long and is designed for ages 3 and up.

    Environment Discussion Group with Dana Cary

    How is global warming changing our lives and our part of the world? What can we do to prepare to deal with the changes? Utilizing A Dangerous New World edited by Meghan Sterling and Kathleen Sullivan, a collection of essays, poetry, and artwork from Maine based contributors; this discussion group will share thoughts about our future. All are welcome. Meetings are on the fourth Thursday of the month.

    Friends of the Topsham Public Library Meeting

    Started in 1998, The Friends of the Topsham Public Library is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to supporting the Topsham Public Library. The Friends value the Topsham Public Library as a cultural, educational and recreational center and contribute time, effort, and resources to further develop the library’s potential as a dynamic force in our community. The Friends augment the library budget through fundraising to finance virtually all library programs and events. Annual membership, donations, and patronage of the annual book sale strengthens the Topsham Public Library and ensures the continued growth of Library services. All meetings are open to the public. New members are always welcome.

    Family Movie: Inside Out

    When 11-year-old Riley moves to a new city, her Emotions team up to help her through the transition.  Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness work together, but when Joy and Sadness get lost, they must journey through unfamiliar places to get back home.  Rated PG for mild thematic elements and some action.  Running Time: 2 Hours.  Recommended ages 6 and up, but all are welcome!  Bring pillows and blankets for extra coziness—popcorn will be served!

    Fishing Rally

    All ages welcome! Please join us at “the Ponds” behind the Solid Waste Facility for our 20th annual Fishing Rally. We have poles and bait for those who need them. Please bring your own coffee and/or water. There will be prizes! Hosted by the library, the Topsham Recreation Department, and the Topsham Solid Waste Facility. For that day only, no license is necessary. For more info call 725-1727.
