Short Scary Story Contest–October 1st – 31st

Enter our thirteen words or less horror story contest. Try your hand at writing a spooky sentence or two and you may be the winner! Fill out the card in the teen room or email your entry to The spine-tingliest entry will win a tote bag full of goodies! Ages 11-18 only, no more than 2 entries per teen.

Manga/Anime Program

Read the Manga, watch the Anime! A brief discussion will follow. No registration required, ages 11-18 only. Snacks provided.

Friday, October 6th, 2pm-4:30pm — Spy x family story and art by Tatsuya Endo; Season 1, episodes 1-4.

Friday, November 10th, 2pm-4:30pm — A silent voice by Yoshitoki Oima, A Silent Voice movie.

“A deaf elementary school girl named Shoko Nishimiya transfers to a new school and meets a boy named Shoya Ishida. Shoya leads the school in bullying Shoko over her disability until she transfers to another school. Immediately, the class bullies Shoya for having bullied Shoko. Shoya loses contact with Shoko, and for years he suffers the consequences of his guilt. Upon entering high school, Shoya finally decides he must find Shoko, determined to make amends for what he did in elementary school.”

Board Games in the Teen Room
