    Parent/Child Workshop

    Joinchildren’s librarian Mariah Sewall and community professionals from localagencies for a fun and interactive playtime in a room full of toys!  The four-week Parent/Child Workshop bringstogether children ages birth-5 and caregivers in a playful and interactivesetting.  During the workshop, caregiversand children spend quality time together playing and participating in art orsensory exploration.  Professionals fromlocal agencies will be on hand to informally chat about topics such asnutrition, play, child development, fitness, behavior, speech, andhearing.  The program emphasizes andsupports the role of parents as first teachers, facilitates early intervention,and promotes healthy child development and literacy through modeling andreferrals to community resources (plus it’s really fun!!) Ages birth – 5. Registration required.

    Family Movie: Ponyo

    When Sosuke, a young boy who lives on a clifftop overlooking the sea, rescues a stranded goldfish named Ponyo, he discovers more than he bargained for.
