In Library Materials

We have approximately 40,000 items in our collection (not including all the items available through interlibrary loan). Most of these items are available for free with your library card. We have a wide variety of books (fiction and nonfiction), audiobooks,  newspapers, magazines, movies, TV shows, music and even video games in our adult, teen and children’s collections. We also loan out telescopes, fishing rods and binoculars to our patrons and have a special Employment and Business Entrepreneurship Center (down by the periodicals) that has the latest business and career help resources. Our library also has the Maine Collection, a collection of books pertaining to Maine history and culture that has a permanent home at the library.

We also have 11 desktop computers available for public use, all connected to the internet in addition to a laptop that can be checked out by patrons and used within the library grounds. Need wireless? We have wireless connectivity (internet and printing) throughout the library, including the garden and parking lot!
