We are really excited to be able to offer this way to begin resuming library services once again. While it is not yet time to open our doors, we can provide you with materials while still doing our best to keep everyone safe. The staff are all wearing masks, keeping our distance, and washing our hands often. Here is the plan. But remember, as with everything surrounding this pandemic, our plans are subject to change. Please bear with us! It’s our first pandemic, too!
There are three ways to request materials:
1. If you know exactly what you want, request your items the same way you have in the past, using the online card catalog (remember, for now you can only request items that the Topsham Public Library owns, so make sure it says Topsham Public Library in the search bar). If you have not done this before help is here. This is the best and easiest way to get exactly what you want.
2. If you are not sure what you want, fill out the online form found HERE and the staff will pick the titles for you.
3. If you are uncomfortable online (or just want to talk to a person) feel free to call us at 725-1727 with your requests.
When your items are ready for pick up you will get email notification, or a phone call if you don’t have email.
When you are ready to pick up your material
Park in the smaller parking lot to the left of the library and remain in your car. Call us from the parking lot when you arrive. If you don’t have a cell phone please call us before you leave home with an approximate arrival time and a description of your car. Open a passenger or rear window and we will deliver your items to your car.
We are not able to take returns during parking lot pick-up.
Returns are accepted on Saturdays and Sundays only and should be put in the outside drop boxes. All items (even new ones) are currently due back on July 10th. You do not have to return any books to get 10 more on your next visit.
