The eBooks and eAudiobooks listed here are bought for the exclusive use of TPL patrons. The Minerva Consortium buys many more that are available to all Maine library patrons. If you are looking for a particular book, search the catalog using ‘electronic resources’ in the drop-down menu. They will be listed under the location, Infonet Download Library. We welcome patron suggestions for electronic items to buy, and do our best to fulfill requests. However, some items are extremely expensive and beyond our budget.
The library is now taking part in cloudLibrary’s pay-per-use catalog on certain titles. If you suggested a title, and don’t see it on this list, check the cloudLibrary anyway (the best time to do this is at the beginning of the month) as it may now be available. If it is not, it means that the license is probably too expensive for the library’s budget. If you’d like to know how eBooks and audio, and licenses, and the consortium, and all that stuff works (it’s complicated), ask our adult services librarian, Emma, the next time you visit the library!

New from cloudLibrary, Video Streaming Service: All you need is the app for cloudLibrary. If you have the latest update for CL, there is now a category called Movies. This is a brand new program, just developed, so please be patient. if there are glitches, please let us know so we can report to the company. Also, the selection is small, but it should grow as new material is gained. The good news is that there is no waiting. Movies are available at the moment you want them. There is even a way to cast them onto your smart TV, if you wish. As with all our services, it is free of charge. We’ll be putting out more information about this service in the coming weeks!
