I’m happy to share that late last week State Procurement Review Committee approved the contract with STAT Courier and we have a restart date for van delivery as well as ILL van delivery requesting!
Van delivery with STAT will begin on Monday, August 26. They will need a week to run through routes while picking up items from your libraries that need to head back to their home libraries. ILL for van delivery will restart through our ILS systems on Tuesday, September 3rd.
Please tell your patrons that with the restart of this service with a new van delivery vendor, we would like everyone to be measured in their number of requests because otherwise we run the risk of overwhelming the service with extremely high volume within the first few weeks. If an individual patron has more than 3 requests to submit the week of 9/3, I would ask that you space those requests out in the system over 2 or 3 weeks. This will also help library staff to gradually resume ILL processing over the first few weeks of the service.
