For kids, by a kid
In honor of Library Card Sign-up Month, which happens annually in September, we are requesting designs for our first ever children’s library card! This special card will be designated just for youth cardholders and is intended to support their use of the library for literacy, enrichment, and definitely fun.
Some suggested themes are:
- Imagination: where does the library take you?
- How does the library inspire you?
- Design your dream bookshelf
- Topsham landmarks, scenery, or history
SUBMISSION DUE DATE: Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 8pm
Rules & Guidelines
- All artists must be 17 or under and a current Topsham resident, current cardholder, or currently enrolled in any MSAD75 school
- One entry per contestant
- The submitted entry must be the creative and original work of a single individual. No AI-generated content will be allowed
- Designs should reflect the following card dimensions: 3 3/8” wide x 2 1/8” high (approx. 1.59:1 aspect ratio). The optional provided template on the design form includes 1/8” bleed to the card, so the edges of your design may be trimmed. Keep in mind that the TPL logo will be placed in a corner of the card
- The entries will be reviewed by staff and the final winner will be selected by the community and receive a $50 Visa gift card.
- All submissions and release forms (below) must be received by Thursday, October 29 at 8pm, in person or via email to director@topshamlibrary.org
